My thoughts on confidence
The other day someone told me " I wish you had more confidence, because your so smart but your just to shy". What does it mean to be confident? Isnt it different in everyones own personal life? I believe that confidence is nothing more than a defense mechanism that people use without even realizing it to cover up their own fear in what ever situation they are in. We do it without realizing it but if you think about it the big confident person is always in the spotlight always being watched and looked up to. Do you not think that that person is fearful of the thought that if they let fear show or come across as something other than what they have been built up to be, that people will no longer look up to him/her. They are stuck in a fearful state all the time, but they will not show i, sometimes they might not even know themselves enogh to realize this is going on. I also believe the person always pointing out to others that they are lacking confidence has a personal issue in the fact that they are insecure about an issue going on in theyre life, or they are affraid that someone may realize they are affraid to let theyre true light shine and they have a wall up. Confidence is a wall that shuts eveything out or in other words will not accept anything other than what they believe. To me that is an illness and one I would prefer not to display all the time. Of cousre we all show confidence and the ability to prosper in things we love. The thing is not to put confidence on as a mask when you are put under pressure or feel the need. Be genuine and open to everything and you will begin to realize that love is true confidence.

How massage effects athletes.
How massage effect athletes.
An athlete is constantly breaking down their muscle in order to improve muscle strength and speed. A tight muscle is a shortened muscle which pulls on the skeleton causing discomfort and muscle strain and a heightened chance of injuring the muscle. So by expanding the muscle through neural muscular therapies( which involves fatiguing the muscle so it can be stretched with less resistance from the muscle, and helps to create a better resting length) you in turn help prevent injury, increase joint mobility, and create a better resting length for the affected muscle.
Massage also plays a key role in flushing the body of fluids, such as lactic acid, which is the end product of muscle energy. It flushes the tissue with fresh blood, which is full of nutrients. This helps keep the tissue healthy, or soft and pliable. Scar tissue is a dense fibrous connective tissue that forms over an injury site in the body (micro tears in the muscle), it is weaker than the tissue that it replaced and does not allow as much blood flow through the tissue. It forms on soft tissues and restricts movement in the muscle and in the joints of the body. By breaking down scar tissue and keeping it soft and pliable, it allows the muscle to have a better range of motion and allow the athlete to perform on higher level than if the tissue was hard, stagnant, and stuck to surrounding muscle tissues.
As an athlete massage should be part of your regular routine, in creating a balance life style and a n overall sense of well being by increasing the body/mind connection.
